shipping engine block
« on: September 01, 2012, 08:17:06 PM »
I'm looking at bidding on a engine block.  The block is in Kunkletown, Pa and I need to get it to North Dakota.  Any suggestions on shippers and packaging would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
David,

Can be put on a pallet and shipped truck freight.  Check locally to see what trucking companies there are.  You'll save a little $$ if you can pick up at the shipping dock.

Try either Forward Air: http://www.forwardair.com/locations/falocations.htm
or Engine Shipping: http://www.engineshipping.com/

I've had good luck with both.

Thanks a bunch guys for the tips, I did win the bid and scored a date correct replacement block now I just need to get here to North Dakota.  If you guys don't know where that is it's by South Dakota, just kidding if you have any friends in the oil business you've heard of ND.

Thanks again,

David,
