Title: Bellhousing date code

Hi all,
I have a C3DA - A aluminum 4 speed bellhousing and I'm trying to determine the date code.   Is this the date code?

If so, how is it decoded?  I'm thinking the various dots around the 'clockface' mean something.

Yes, that's the date code.  65 is 1965 and the number of dots will equal the month of the year.  Looks like maybe 7 dots, which would be for July.
