My 65 GT speedo quit working I replace the cable, work for about 30 miles then quit took it out and the end was broken at the speedo connection. I installed a new cable and again at aprox. 30 miles or less it stopped again?? could there be something wrong in the odo??
Thanks for any info.

Did you replace the cable and the housing?

The speedometer can be tested with a cordless drill, find a fitting to go into the input shaft and give it a whirl.
Could be an issue at the trans.
Otherwise, proper routing might be the issue. 4sp and automatic trans cable routing is different.
