Title: Rotunda Racing Mirror 65-66

Were all Rotunda racing mirrors marked the same with numbers inside the base and etched on the mirror face? Attached are examples of what I've seen on original mirrors. I'm looking to buy one and want to make sure that the mirrors had both codes inside the base and etched on the mirror itself.

The code inside the base is: DS - 100021

And the code etched on the mirror is: J - AX - 4

Can confirm a matching number on the base for those that I've seen. As for the mirror markings will dig out some examples and freshen my memory :)

I've never noticed an apple in the mirror before in the ones I have seen  ;D

Thanks Jeff, would appreciate any info you find. The picture posted is not mine but one from a search on the internet, so that's not my iPhone :). I've seen three of these for sale in the past year on eBay, two had the same markings I listed and a third for sale now on eBay does not...but has an original box. I wanted to see how much variability there really was with the glass etching in particular.

All OE 66 GT350 and NOS mirrors I've seen have both codes you mentioned...

Wow the mirror face markings are tiny. I looked at mine long and hard before seeing them.
