If it is an original idler arm, (cost wise) it would be best to repair it. Replacement bushings are inexpensive. The one nut on the shaft that bolts to the frame is very tough to get off without damaging the threads (of the nut). This is because the threaded area has been peened after assembly. The nut can be one of two used and only the less commonly used "thinner" version nut can be found (at this time) as a replacement. The more commonly used lock nut, a good source of a replacement is still being sought.

NOS idler arms can also be found, usually on eBay. Anything aftermarket will work just fine functionally but will not pass in Concours judging.

Hope that helps
