Title: 1972 Tinted or clear glass

I'm trying to get the correct glass for a 1972 Mach 1 with factory air conditioning. What I thought I knew was all fastbacks got tinted back glass and all air conditioned cars got tinted windshield and side glass. The correct dated coded side glass is clear. The windshield is aftermarket tinted replacement. Was just tinted windshield an option? Could you get factory air conditioning without tinted glass? All help appreciated.
