Title: Rally Wheels and brake drum color
Post by: ChrisV289 on June 23, 2010, 04:17:52 PM
My understanding on 64-66 mustangs is that brake drums are suppose to be a natural (gray) color from the factory, unless they were GT's and got the rally wheels and then they were blacked out, correct?  If a car left the factory with regular rims and then the dealer added rally wheels later on, would they still black out the brake drums or leave them natural?  Any one know?

Thanks

First, styled steel wheels were not part of any package and not required with GT cars in 65-66.  Factory installed, yes, would expect the drums to be blacked out.  If dealer installed, either way would be acceptable.
