Title: MORE wheel weights...'65
Post by: C5ZZKGT on September 04, 2009, 06:50:02 PM
Is it considered correct to install wheel weights on the INSIDE only on '65 SS wheels for concours judging? I don't think Ford back in 1965 would have gone out of their way to do this.....

I've seen them both ways, but it seems like an effort was made to install them mostly on the backside.

Thanks Charles!! I actually like the look of a nice clean wheel without the weights showing, I am going soon to have my ultra-long valve stems changed and my tires filled with Nitrogen at the same time and was also thinking about having weights done on both sides of the wheel, but I think I'll just leave them on the backs and keep my wheels clean!
BTW:Have you or anyone seen the report about the DILL valve stems failing on late model Ford products causing some deaths in the US? just like the Firestone/Explorer deal......I'm going to use a generic 1 1/4" stem and install my correct DILL caps on them!
