Title: Clutch Fan Bolts
Post by: bryancobb on October 27, 2010, 06:14:44 PM
66 Metuchen C-Code

I gave h2opumpman1 $250 for a perfect-looking, rebuilt C6OE-A water pump for my 66.  I was pleased.  Then I bought a set of the short A/C clutch fan bolts from AMK.
The threads on AMK Bolts are UNC.  The internal threads in the water pump flange are UNF.  Which are factory correct?

all i have ever encountered were fine threads which provide more strength.

Are you sure you didn't get the bolts that attach the fan to the fan clutch?

I got F-1201...yes you are right!  Should have gotten F-1804.  Thanks Charles.
Never even dawned on me.
