Title: Carpet installation
Post by: CCP on August 06, 2019, 01:04:46 PM
Just a little advice. Set to install the carpet in this '66 convert and was wondering, should I install the front or rear first. Some of the restoration books say to do the front first. What do you guys think?

                           Thanks, Pete.

My Oct 65 San Jose Fastback with Deluxe Interior has the front section overlapping the rear. On that basis, rear first.

+1 Front over rear when done. You can install them in any order you want but should end up with the correct final orientation

BTW don't forget the screws that go through and hold in place the forward carpet flap that goes over the rear section also. Holes will be visible in the seat riser before you install the carpet or underlayment
