Try "Ford Car Parts" (aka MPC) in this forum's library.

The AU spring was used on cars with the improved performance suspension, such as a GT.

Thanks for the information.  I was able to locate the parts manual in the library.  What a great source I need to spend more time in that section of the Forum.

Also looks like they likely came on some cars equipped certain ways and built December 66 through maybe Feb 67

If the part number for a 12/66-2/67 GT kar has the AU suffix, what would have been the right leaf spring part number for a late 67 GT Hipo kar built in 7/67? An AU as well?

Guessing you found/saw the spreadsheet one of our members assembled from MPC and buildsheet example they had access to.

We would need to know more things about your car before the question could be answered unless your asking about ANY July 67 K code GT

Remember or consider that the MPCs (Parts Manuals) listed parts for servicing a car not always what was original to your car

Got it. The kar is a 1967 k code coupe built at Metuchen 7/18/67. It is a 4 speed, Although I am sure that isn?t relevant. A previous owner did a drastic drop on it and the kar bottoms out all the time which isn?t good. I am considering at some point to put it back to OEM specs and am trying to figure out what OEM leaf springs would be correct.

Oh. It was also an export kar to Guatemala, I don?t know if export kars got different springs as well. I would like to find original oem part number and date code correct springs to put back on the kar if possible.

Spring design and usage was based on allot of things like body style and options so details can make a difference.

Looking through the buildsheets I have access to I found a 67 NJ built GT Coupe with 4 speed with a projected build date of July 14 1967. It shows the paint identification of 1 orange and 11 pink stripe which is associated with rear springs marked C7ZA-5556-AU during 67 production. So it looks like we have a match from a similar car, likely same production period and plant as yours.

Hope this helps and thanks to the member that shared the buildsheet used to answer this question

Thanks Jeff! That?s perfect. I think my kar was scheduled to be built on 7/14 and was actually built on 7/18, thinking about it.  You must have my build sheet I think? Do you see any k code kars built at Metuchen after that or is that the last one?

Does your cars VIN end in "77"?   Don't have any that were likely built after yours in my files.

Yep, that?s mine. Wow. It could be the last K ever built at Metuchen. Certainly one of last if not the last. Fascinating stuff. I would love to verify it but Marti auto works isn?t doing this type of research right now unfortunately. Fortunately, I love the kar.  Fun to drive and beautiful. Thanks for your help Jeff.

I'm late to the discussion but just wanted to say I've been checking out my rear springs in my Metuchen built 67 K code fastback, build date February 28th 67. They are C7ZA-5556-AU   320E6
