Title: My Pace car
Post by: Epperstang on December 10, 2009, 11:04:17 AM
2010 is the year!
We plan to take the 64.5 INDY to Mustang, OK in June.
It received it's first Gold in Concours Trailered class in Mustang in 2007.
Hopefully it'll receive it's final gold in Mustang.
Then it'll have enough points to finally be in Conservator class in Bellevue, WA in July.
Jim Smart photographed it last year at the Phoenix MCA National. But I've asked him to hold off on a story in Mustang Monthly until it's reached Conservator status.

After that? I don't know.... An occasional MCA show, but won't be hauled all over the country.
I think it'll be especially great to have it at the Mustang 50th as a Conservator though.

Thanks again to Steve G., Charles T., Mike M. for all their help.

I've had the privilege of judging this car and getting to know Mike and Joyce over the past 5 years.  Definitely a great car and great people!

Hope that you will continue to bring the car out to shows for everyone to see!   :)

MIKE and JOYCE.

your car is a wonderful example of a correctly restored car and i hope to see it again in 2010 and beyond.
Definately learnt a great deal from your car and taken plenty of images throughout the years at different venues.

Thanks to you all.
Prior to restoring INDY, we were very nervous about you Judge type MCA people. Had heard horror stories.
We've nothing but terrific experiences.
You guys aren't so scarey.
Heck you inducted my husband into your little clique.
Happy Holidays!

We don't need to tell you what a great job both of you have done - but it never hurts - does it?  ;)

I know that you have not focused so much on the awards as getting the car as close as possible to correct. The awards will come as a result of the efforts.

I know - never completely done or happy with every little detail but that is what makes it a labor love and the goal worth going for.

Great effort IMHO

Oh heck I am remiss in not acknowledging the help Jeff S. has also given.
He has done a couple of judging seminars in Salt Lake helping us get ready for the MCA shows.
His insights and recommendations about getting the car ready for MCA judging have also been terrific assistance.
One other... Mark Vasquez also offers a lot of input. He hasn't "officially" judged the car, but at shows always makes suggestions/recommendations and follows up with emails after the shows.
Thanks again to all!
