Title: '69 Engine "OK" stamp
Post by: BillEBobb on April 26, 2012, 10:04:10 PM
Did a '69 SJ f-code engine take an "OK" stamp?  Anybody have a picture showing placement?  I've seen some "OK" stamps with a hyphen between the letters.  Did the San Jose stamps have the hypen?

I'm looking for a font style and size to replicate the stamp.  HELP!

Bill

This 429 depicts an OK stamp.  (429 OK is stamped on valve cover not engine head.)

Bill the OK would have been applied at the engine plant so the assembly plant of the car is not a determining factor in this detail IMHO

Now there were four different versions of this OK stamp and they appear to be different depending on assembly plants (engine)
Currently away but Ill check my pictures when I get back and try and post some info that may help. Maybe someone else will have an original 70 small block with this detail
