look at the date code on my pass side fender.....its June...
my drivers side is November and cars build date is Nov 69...
could this be poss to have a 70 fender from June AND could it be orig?
need to take it off to look at backside for paint
69 fenders are way diff right?
car appears to never been wrecked in the front

Yes,
'69 and '70 fenders are completely different, the main difference being the side marker light. The '70 is in the fender, the '69 in the valance.
Cant help on the dates. I think the "D" in the circle indicates the fender was stamped in Dearborn.
I notice your buck tag is Metuchen.
Did all fenders come from Dearborn (please excuse my ignorance here), or were they stamped in Metuchen also?

Yes it does appear to be outside of the normal pattern Here is an original fender from
0T106195 built (possibly) two months before your car. And the fender in question was stamped a month earlier than this one.

Agree looking at the back side may show a lack of factory sound deadner or other clues.
The car may have only been involved in a fender bender from the side were only the fender need to be replaced

There were stamping plants and vehicle assembly plants which should not be confused, There were a number of different stamping plants which stamped out parts for all the different cars Ford built. As far as I recall parts stamped at the Dearborn stamping plant have been found on original cars from all three Mustang plants. So IMHO that is not a determining factor in this discussion

Stamped at "San Jose"??? What was the code for San Jose??
How would that take place. From my understanding no parts were made there only cars assembled. The parts would arrive in Pittsburg from the other plants, contractors and sub-contractors then Scott and the rest of the guys working there would send them to the assembly plant or to the warehouse to be sent out to dealerships as over the counter parts
Stuff I see on San Jose built cars mostly seems to come from the Dearborn or Woodhaven with a few Cleveland an Monroe thrown in depending on the year

The one's I've seen have a large "R" stamped in them..."ASSumed" it stood for San Jose.
Sounds like I'm wrong...thats what I get for assuming.

Don't believe the big R is related to the date or the location of the stamping ;)
