I am restoring my rear axle and all associated hardware. I noticed that the bolts that mount the rear wheel cylinders were different from the LS vs RS. Do these bolts look original? One set has 3 dots in the center, and the other has an anchor and 2 bars.
Also do these brake show hold down pins look original? There is what appears to be an 8 in the center.

If those bolts are 5/16-18X1/2 then yes. There are many different suppliers for a lot of years so head marking are going to be varied. According to AMK, Chrysler used a similar bolt (maybe head marking differences) which may yield another source. Yours look a bit weather beaten so you might want to consider AMK (B-12307) replacements.

Hold on a minute before you just go changing those to generic AMK. There may be a good reason why they are different. Take a look at your backing plates, e brake spreaders and see if you see a difference. Also if you still have rubber adj plugs see if they are marked different. Very common for cars to have KH on one side (flat headed bolt on wheel cyl) and bendix on other (recessed head)
The KH has a plug with a crosshatch and the Bendix has the 8A xxxx (or the other way around :-\)

Hi Tim, Thanks for the info. I did look at the 2 sides and they appear to have the same parts including the rubber plugs. The wheel cylinders are not the original ones.

I have a similar issue on my 67 (has front disc brakes), it has the different bolts RS vs. LS and different (assumed) original wheel cylinders (one with casting numbers and one without). I will check the brake spreader parts and other hardware to see if anything else differs. Only one side had a rubber plug. I will look at it also. Fortunately, I have kept things assembled till yesterday and have kept each side seperated before I realized there were differences side to side.

Probably something was changed when the wheel cylinders were changed. But like previous posts said we do see more than one style bolt vendor being used.

Re: The '67 I am working on...Not true.
Click link to the other thread (attached in my previous comment today). On that example anyways, all internal brake levers are consistent with the backing plate stampings (K/H backing plate with K/H levers and Bendix backing plate with Bendix levers) so it looks to match the scenario of this O.P.'s B-2 example VERY similarly. Also similar, the castings of the original wheel cylinders are different AND the bolts are different from side to side. The '67 example I am working on has been in my possession since 1978 and was essentially a 100K miles, and untouched before me. My history has only new internals switched on RH wheel cylinder back in '98.
