Title: 65 parking brake cable brackets
Post by: e093116 on February 16, 2010, 09:30:08 PM
What is the correct finish for the steel parking brake cable brackets?

I am concerned about 5 pieces, one mounts on the firewall and there are two for each side closer to the rear axle.

Looks like they might be black, but the car has been partially restored before so I'm not sure if black is correct.

The one that mounts to the firewall edge should be a natural steel, no paint.

On the rear, one side is natural and the other is painted.  Dearborn/Metuchen may have done them differently and had different configurations based on production date.

If nobody responds until later, I'll look at the originals I have off a few SJ cars.
