Maybe needs to be an new topic under the BOSS cars.  Anyway, Same on the 70 Dearborn BOSS 302s. There was a discussion on one of the BOSS Facebook chats about them about 18 months ago and they seem to be on non-tach cars, and they had verified October to December builds (at least). I am not sure if there was other dates documented but one of the guys was going to forward the ?evidence? to MCA to request an update to the judging sheets.

First photo is mine before its restoration by David Davis, 0F02G131063, built 11/15/69.

Second was posted by Craig Johnson, who was collecting the information. Craig has more, I just saved these for any future discussions..

I have seen that wire routed between the 2 heater hoses perhaps to support the wire from falling or sagging downward but may have been the assembly guys thought at the time.

Ed, that is exactly the way David reinstalled it when he restored the car.

Ok Split the topic for the time since we're focusing on just Boss 302s and 70's.  Will go through the picture collection

Update: We might have some examples of different routing that is related to when the car was built - early verses later. Will follow up

So here is what I've found in looking at pictures of 70 Boss 302's. All except the very very early examples with the loom routed to the hook attached to the upper left heater motor attachment stud  and routed between the heater hoses.

57th Mustang assigned a VIN at Dearborn and a Boss 302; One of the cars built for show car duty around the country

Has the wire loop wire retainers on the passenger side shock tower support

Spaced out the remaining through the production year rather than show the dozens of individual examples
Upper left - 0F02G1163xx
Upper right -  0F02G1421xx
Lower left - 0F02G1697xx
Lower right - 0F02G1907xx

Going to look through the other 70's to see if we can find how the routing of that loom was related to options or engine size on other models
