I searched the threads to try to find out which seat belt bolts would be correct for my car. There are 2 types of bolts that I have seen used and I have been told that the seat belt bolts changed in1968 at some point.

Can someone confirm which ones would be correct for June 5 1968 build. Hex or Torx style

Thanks

Did you look in the library under Mustang Hardware 67-68 Spreadsheets?

Oh yes all 10,000 line items. However what is frustrating with the spreadsheet is that it won't let me sort it for some reason and it is not listed alphabetically, so for those of us with poor eyesight it is a vey hard tool to use so I thought I would ask the experts for clarification since it is just one simple question. The fastener confirmation process is a bit over whelming to be honest and very time consuming, cross referencing spread sheets, assembly manuals etc and in many cases still not finding the answer I am searching for. I was hoping that there would be an easier way to get the information I need.

Thanks

If you look at the seat belt hardware on the AMK website it gives the change over date.
1968 W code 427 Cougar XR-7 GTE Feb 23 Dearborn C6 / 3.50 open
1968 R code 428CJ Cougar XR-7 May 13 Dearborn C6 / 3.91 T - Lock

Oh yes all 10,000 line items.
The two files for 67-68 have less than 3,000 items each. MHW67-68AP05.xlsx and MHW67-68PN05.xlsx. The "05" is version.
However what is frustrating with the spreadsheet is that it won't let me sort it for some reason and it is not listed alphabetically,
There are two spreadsheets, one identified and sorted by part number, the other by application, the "where used". See above.
- so for those of us with poor eyesight it is a vey hard tool to use -
I use a 24 inch monitor. A laptop, tablet or telephone screen are the worst devices to use. Just a thought and recommendation.

Before the spreadsheets, there was the brown paper bag and crayon method. I found that method unacceptable, so I created the spreadsheet. Your answer was there.

Thanks Jim I unfortunately don't have a big monitor, but if I can sort the spreadsheet I can find what I am looking for and increase the size of the font. I will try the 05 version. This is the spreadsheet I downloaded M HARDWARE03test.xls

This was a test to see how big a file could be downloaded. It is obsolete.

A partial file to address the various bolt head markings used on 64-73 Mustangs. It's an ongoing project currently on hold.

Just a quick not that my seatbelt bolts in the car are all hex style heads with red dyed washers. I cant confirm 100% that they are original and came with the car, but most of the car is intact and pretty original so I am going to assume that they are original to the car,
