2005-2009 V6 Coolant

ChrisV289:
Hitting up this forum as well.  I am going to be changing the radiator hoses in my 09 V6 Mustang. Seems like a straight forward job. Already have the hoses from Rockauto that were half the cost from the dealership and are still Motorcraft hoses. My question is burping the system. A video I watched showed a valve to open but that was on V8. Does the V6 have a similar one or should I just run the car with the heat on and leave the radiator cap off for a bit?

Thanks
Chris

when i had to change out my radiator and AC condenser due to a slight miscalculation on a rally i was on, I just ran the car with the radiator cap off and the heat blasting. After the engine reached operating temp, I made sure the radiator was still filled and then put the cap on it. I have not had any problems since I did that. Best of luck to you on this swap. I was amazed when i removed the rad and condenser how much room in front of the engine there was. I was also able to get in there with a toothbrush and degreaser and remove some rode grime.
