Looking for my dads 1967 GT350 #2078
« on: November 13, 2020, 01:47:05 PM »
My dad owned his Shelby from approximately 1977 to 1984/5, we lived in Anchorage, AK at the time. The complete Shelby VIN is 67210F2A02078. It was Nightmist Blue and had ten spoke rims. It was an automatic transmission and had inboard driving lights. He sold it to another Mustang club member who promptly did some body repairs and painted it Grabber Blue. With help, Ive tracked it to Sweden in 2002. It was listed for sale on Ebay in 2010. Ive contacted a Mustanger buddy on Europe with the hopes that he can put out the word and hopefully find the owner. im also going to post this on other Mustang-related websites and contact Ebay and ask if they can do a forensic search. Thanks for readying my quest. My email is colt1965@hotmail.com

In the Registry it last reported as being still in Sweden and was offered for sale on EBay in Feb 2010 as you have found. I must have missed the ad since I don't have any pictures of the car from the ad. Not sure how accessable vehicle records are in Europe but you could always hire a private investigator to hunt it down if its that important to you

You can check with the Registrar to see if there is any additional/newer information  @ dmathews@prodigy.net

Good luck

Thanks, Jeff. Ive emailed with Dave this week, he was very helpful. Like I said, Ive got other avenues Im going to pursue and I finally decided to make my goal of finding and perhaps acquiring my dads Shelby public.

Over the weekend, I posted on the SAAC website and asked a German friend to make some inquiries and they both pointed to the same current owner. 2078 is (was) being restored by its current owner in Sweden. Im waiting for him to reply to an inquiry / introduction.
