Never had to purchase a gas tank so looking for some current recommendations for the best current gas tank for a concours car (with a drain plug)

+1 on that tank. installed one a couple months age. fit perfect & looked great. alos went with the new scott drake brand fuel sender with no problems there either.

Not sure if the links provided are speaking of the same product.

The Virginia Classic Mustang blog states that the Spectra brand tank is produced in Canada.  The eBay link is for an American Designers brand tank, made in North America.  Just wanted to point that out.

I noticed the name of the manufacturer was changed  to Spectra. I was not aware they were made by the same company as American designers.
 They are an excellent product!

I gues Spectra bought out American Designers... Glad to see that it was just a name change.  I put one of these American Designers tanks in my car 6 years ago...I can't believe that it was that long ago..  They are excellent tanks, and look NOS.  Excellent quality.  I highly reccommend them. No worries. You can relax easy.

Supposedly there is a company making Stainles steel tanks out there... I wonder how they are..
