Brake light retaining pin hole on 65 66 brake pedal
« on: July 19, 2021, 11:42:51 AM »
I've recently noticed that the drilling of the hole in the stud for the brake pedal push rod and brake light in a 65 66 brake pedal is either
horizontal or vertical.    I only have 66 Assembly manuals and it shows the hole to be horizontal.   I've also found 6s033 to have a vertically
drilled hole and I know it is a 65 model.

So, is the vertical vs horizontally drilled holes for the pin a 65 / 66 change?   If so, why the change?  Serviceability?

Never studied the specific detail nor is this something that is easy to see. May be the result of different suppliers or one machine at one supplier set up for one direction where another set up the opposite direction
