"BELTS" reminder light
« on: March 13, 2022, 04:50:45 PM »
I have the BELTS and PARK reminder lights on my 69 Boss. Both of them worked when I installed them but recently the BELTS light quit working. I have replaced the bulb and the relay with a known working one but neither fixed it. I am getting power to the relay from the auxiliary power connector which also powers the PARK light. There is 1 green wire and 1 purple wire coming from the relay to the light. The light is supposed to come on for a few seconds when the key is turned to the on position. I'm not sure when it quit working but I changed the key tumbler in the ignition switch and the wiring harness from the firewall to the engine. Would either one of these be the problem?
Thanks,
John Kammer

Headlight harness MAY be at fault if you changed from a standard to tach configuration; otherwise, if you didn't change headlight harness configuration, it is unlikely to be the cause.
