Clock Needle/Hand Repair

Repairing our signature car's originally optioned C7ZF-15000 dash clock.

The clock needs an intact yellow sweep second hand because the needle is broken off from original piece.

The clock is repaired, tested and good to go; all it needs is the sweep second hand.

I am not aware of any replacement and original are very fragile from age.
I couldn't tell you if the reproduction clocks utilize the same clockwork post but usually, the needles simply press-on most that can be serviced. My guess is you will not be able to swap on a new needle. Maybe there is a genius way to create your own?

Agree with you Richard.

Going to try some delicate adhesive joining of needle to the center, and reattach the original second hand.

Second hand repair completed, clock re-installed and keeping time.  Second hand is sweeping and clock rewinds approx. every two minutes.

A tiny dab of J-B Weld was used as the adhesive, applied with a toothpick to the center hub.  Biggest challenge was to keep the second hand in correct position while the adhesive cured.  The repair is out of view, below the lens center medallion.
