Heater Box Connections
« on: April 09, 2013, 09:54:55 PM »
I've found at least two variants in 69/70 cars for heater box connectors.  Most use spade lead connectors on the main underdash harness near the door jamb area on the right in a squareish pattern.  I've seen others with a flat 3 prong bullet connector splitting off of the main harness near the firewall bundle.  I've also seen spade leads in that position, and I've actually seen 2 or 3 with both connectors on them!  I've also seen extenders for the spade leads.

I've seen these in both AC and nonAC cars, and can't for the life of me figure out why some are like this and others aren't.  Was there a changeover in heater box design or location?  Most of the variability seems to be in the 70's, but I have seen variation in the 69's.

Have I lost my mind, or are there differences going on here?
