I wish I could be in the market now as this is exactly what I am looking for.  I need the tow vehicle first as my 2008 Durango only has a 5K towing capacity.  That leads to my question.... Is that a standard F150 your towing with?  I assume it has the factory tow package.  Has it performed well in towing your trailer and car?  I just drove 1400 miles over the holiday weekend and was watching every truck and trailer combination going down the highway.  I am leaning towards the Ram 1500 as I can get a significant savings.  Have you added any performance enhancements for towing?  Have you utilized a weight distribution hitch?  The majority of my towing will be of my 72 so it will be a heavy load going down the road.

Hi,
Yes, my 150 is stock with factory towing package, 3:73's , and 18" wheels.  I use a weight distributing hitch and double sway controls. I'd hate to comment on anything that I don't know much about, but aside from the Dodge Ram looking really great and having a ton of awesome colors to choose from, I'm not so sure a coli sprung truck would be the way to go.  If you must be a Dodge, I think I do some serious homework before buying a 1500.  All I can say is that my combination tows straight as an arrow at 65- 70 MPH just as if there is no trailer attached.  A Powerstoke it's not, but for the five or six times a year I use it, the 150 works just fine.  If I needed or was buyng a new truck, since my towing is only occasional I'd  go for the ecoboost.  If it was a weekly event, I'd go for the diesel.

Thank you for the advice.  I will research the dodge some more.  My father is retired from Chrysler so I must admit the employee discount is hard to look beyond.  It allows me to afford alot more truck than I would through any other means (other than used).  Much like you I would be an occasional trailer hauler and need to get good mileage out of the truck as a daily driver.  I am estimating that I will need about 10K towing capacity for a 4K pound car and roughly a 4-5K pound trailer combination and still be able to navigate the periodic hill.  Thank you for taking the time to respond and the advice on how this trailer works for you.  Best wishes in selling it, just wish it could be me getting it.

I love the trailer. It is allot nicer than mine. Just to far away. BTW I have a 2011 F150 ecobost with the MAX tow package. Tows my trailer better than my 3/4 diesel did getting 9 - 7 MPG towing and 20 -18 not towing.

I am currently looking to replace my 1997 Haulmark Thrifty Hauler trailer. It has been a great trailer, but I would like more load capacity.

In your list of specs, you quote 3500# Dexter axles. I would have thought this trailer would have come with 5000# axles. Can you confirm the load capacity please.

Nice trailer and nice Boss...  :D

Oh crap...my mistake. Trailer has 5200 pound axles (all six lugs are 5200 pound axels).   Damn, have to edit all listings now....thanks for noticing!    :)
