Title: 66 Starter Finish
Post by: rrenz on February 11, 2016, 07:01:29 AM
Trying to finish up some small detailing things under the hood and I'm a little stumped on the starter. Car is a Jan 66 metuchen coupe. From what i understand the starter is supposed to be painted black. I had read an article from mustang monthly I think where they had done a rebuild and painted theirs gloss black. That seemed odd to me. Is it really gloss black or is semi gloss more appropriate?

It usually a satin black, terminal stud not painted and thin fading paint at the rear snout.
