Title: ~ 1969 4spd top loader
Post by: Raven R Code on October 10, 2016, 08:54:47 PM
Does anyone know if there are metal (maybe bronze) shift linkage bushings?  I looked thru the usual suspects of catalogs but didn't see any.

Thanks,
Dave

No metal bushings are used for the Ford shifter linkage if you thought there were. Hurst makes them for their shifters.

*This info isn't for the metal bushings, but you can still get replacement linkage bushings from Ford, or from NPD - for the Hurst shifters (standard in 1970 4-speed).
Prices are within pennies of each other ~ around $4.50 each.

Ford PN: EOSZ-7341-B

NPD: 7341-4

The NPD parts are actually Ford bushings - they come in Ford packaging!

Whatever you do, do not buy the chocolate brown bushings that are sold on eBay.  They are mush.

69 trans and nothing you would consider a bushing at either end.  Brian
