Title: 69 Convertible and Coupe side scoops
Post by: Popa G on July 06, 2010, 01:21:13 AM
I apologize if my questions are too remedial, I used the search function and did not find the answer to this question.

What color is the "Background" of the side scoops? Just to be clear I am speaking of the metal plate on the backside of the sidescoops that you can see between the fins when viewing from the outside of the car.  I assume flat black but I'm not sure.

Charles- I think you may be answering a bunch of questions from me over the next few months. If you are coming out for the Bellevue, WA show I'd like to introduce myself to you. I appreciate your help very much.

Agree that it was likely a semi-gloss (or slightly flatter due to the paint application) black originally

+ 1 --- Aren't those scoops fun to get off?  NOT! Thick arms (read: fat) and sharp metal do not a good pair make.  I was scabbed up for weeks!
