Title: 6.95 - 14 Coker tires
Post by: AU Finger on March 09, 2017, 02:02:30 PM
I have been looking at two different tires being reproduced by Coker.  US Royal dual redline bias and BF Goodrich dual redline bias.  The US Royal has an overall diameter of 26.60" and the BF Goodrich has an overall diameter of 25.70".  Why would there be nearly a 1" diameter difference if the two tire are both 6.95 -14 tires.  A person should not have to change speedometer gears in order to keep the reading somewhat accurate.  Does anyone know what the original diameter may have been back then.  I am working on an early 65 convertible.

Only US Royal Dual Redline tires were offered by Ford on Mustangs, so a Goodrich version is not correct. The other "stickler" is the current reproduction US Royal Dual Redline is not the same as the original.
