Afternoon
I have a 67 fastback 289 4v A code from SJ in restoration and would like to ask a question on wether Ford installed a rear sway bar as standard on a 67 Fastback and if so, is there a photo of type and position of the sway bar as on the net, there are shots of cars with and without and different type of what appears to be factory sway bars

No they didn't install a rear sway bar originally. Suggest that you stop using pictures found randomly on the web for any guidance in restoring your car.

Yep! Rear sway bar was part of the GT package (only).

No rear sway bar on any 67 - even GT/GTA or Shelby's.

Not sure where you got that information
No sway bar was installed on any production Mustang prior to 1969 then only one specific (and limited production) model

Thank you for the information Jeff, i'll stop looking at the net and just ask a question next time

Its not that all information is incorrect that is out there but there is allot of original and non-original details mixed in the examples that it can lead to confusion, false assumptions and can mislead restorers.
