Title: 289 Oil Pump?
Post by: Morsel on February 24, 2020, 06:17:42 PM
Hey all, wondering if the oil pump used in a 66 K-Code is different then a standard 289, is it considered a high volume oil pump? I keep seeing posts and such talking about high volume oil pumps when talking about my car, or was it the same used for all 289 engines and they are all considered high volume oil pumps?

Thanks as always,

Jason

It would be wise to use a high volume pump if you're rebuilding your engine.  I used the Precision Oil Pumps blueprinted unit my Shelby.
