Title: 1967 Vent Window handles
Post by: Z67Fback on June 11, 2021, 09:36:16 PM
I noticed after 30 years , I have two different vent window handles between the drivers side and the passenger side.  I believe the Drivers side is correct for 67. Is the passenger side from a 68? Looks like the vent window frame is slightly different as well as the handle. Thank you for any and all input.

I believe you are correct.  What date codes on each glass?

In a quick look through my pictures see allot of the square cornered inset style like your top picture on nice unrestored Mustangs all plants

This is just one of the many differences between a 67 and a 68.
The handles are not interchangeable...the stainless glass trim is different. Only the glass is interchangeable but as John mentioned, the glass will have a date code. Clearly, somebody changed either the vent assembly or perhaps the door.
A person can make a part "fit" many different ways (when building a project) but not dealing with the nuances that differ, doesn't bode well on a Concours show field.
