Title: '67 390 Engine Lift Hooks
Post by: scodemike on May 13, 2011, 06:07:21 PM
Which exhaust manifold bolts do the small loop engine lift hooks attach on a 67 390, Metuchen built?  These are not like the later 69 390/428 style lift hooks, which are larger.  Mike

Looks like the following

Drivers side - over #3 runner

Passenger side - over #2 runner

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Jeff.  So if I understand what you are saying correctly, they don't bolt up with exhaust manifold, but in the bolt holes above those runners?  Mike

FYI. The bolts used for the hooks where a unique special thin head style . They had a RBW maker mark. I think AMK sells them.If not you may be able to get them through Mansfield Mustang. Bob

Thanks Bob for the information.  I did find them on the AMK, I will be sure to get them ordered with some other items I need.  Mike
