G'day
I've got 66 SJ coup that has been missing the coat hooks since its restoration in the early 90's. Some how I've ended up with two little bags labeled coat hook screws. They are about the same size but one set doesn't have the thread all the way to the head of the screw. I think this makes sinces as the correct screw the only problem is because of the threadless section the screw carn't be tighten up enough to make the hook firm! Its not flop around loss but can be spun upside down with a slight tuch.
Do you think the screw is correct and my coat hooks need expanding out, as I'm afraid to try stretching the hook open?
Cheers

Sounds like the coat hooks got bent somewhere along the way.

could the holes be wallowed out a bit??

Thanks for the reply's.
Think I'll try putting a little black rubber washer behind the hook to space it out. Headliner seems to spring out and hide that its even there.
Cheers
