Any best way of going about re-painting the black on the glove box door? Also what paint to use - any easy rattle can? Thanks

If you want to use a spray can, get the plasti-kote flat black lacquer.  Dries to a nice finish with just a touch of gloss.

Like all of the parts in all the years that had the camera finish I find it helpful to strip off the earlier coats to reduce the effect on the grain. From there only apply just enough new paint to fully cover - in this way you are less likely to fill and reduce the look of the "grain"
