With what you said it seems a little inconsistent to try for perfection on the dash bezel especially with other good alternatives and not on other visible areas. I would suggest compromise to even things out. It would most likely be much less money to rebuild the same 50 year old car to a superior level.

But when you're driving it, the three things you spend the most time looking at are the hood, the steering wheel and the dash.   ;D    [other than the road, of course  ;)]

If in your case you want to make a non GT Mustang look like a GT Mustang and spend extra money doing it with hard to find and expensive original parts then that is your prerogative and your money . I was just trying to show a reason to suggest a comprise to the need for perfection that you are striving for on a project that conventional wisdom would suggest otherwise. There are many alternatives to achieve the same goal in a less expensive way. At the end of the day the car will not be valued the same as a similar build authentic GT. If money is not a issue but personal satisfaction of personalizing the car in your own way is then by all means keep up the same direction .

And pls comment only if you can help or support to get such a OEM FOMOCO part including brushed  insert.
(could be only the original FOMOCO bezel as well, insert could be bought at Burton if needed)
Not looking for NOS Mylar Bezel (glued on letters)!
However, the part needs to be in NOS/mint (chrome) condition.

I have a nice original FoMoCo deluxe '67 bezel core.  It does not have the stainless insert though.

I can give you a price restored or not restored, send me a PM if interested.
