Any thoughts on how this picture holds up after 27 years.

Interesting to go back and see if years of research and documentation has changed anything.

I used this article as a source for detailing when it came out for my 68 390.  I saw it in my pile of material and just wonder how it holds up 27 years later.

Overall, It is a very good guide and your 390 would be very similar.

Every motor has its own unique features.  We could probably dissect it but its a good resource. I believe Marcus Anghel did an updated version. When combined you should have an excellent representation.

There were sure fewer resources back in the 80s & 90s for us weekend warriors.

You are correct

There is a lot of stuff available now. But, a lot of people are still to lazy to look for it.

Its frustrating when you are trying to help and they cant find the most basic resources.
