Power steering system help
« on: January 31, 2022, 06:11:05 PM »
Hey guys.  First post here.  I've scoured the internet but can't find exactly what I'm looking for.  I found a couple references to a power steering hose junction block coming off of the cooler on a 68 GT350.  But I can't find any picture, diagram, etc of this junction block.  I need this piece and can't find any place that sells them.  Is there another word for them?  Can original or aftermarket pieces be found?

Then hoses is the next issue.  But I think I have found enough info to find what I need there   Thanks for the help.

On a '68 350, there's no junction block, unless you're talking about the regular Mustang rubber block under the car?  The return hose from the control valve has a nipple on the end for the hose to attach with a clamp, that goes to the cooler and then the other hose goes to the pump.

The junction block is on every 67-70 Mustang with power steering. The MOUNTING BRACKET ASSY  http://mansfieldmustang.com/PowerSteering.html  in this (68 GT350) instance that holds the rubber junction block (INSULATOR, P/S HOSE BRACKET)  http://mansfieldmustang.com/PowerSteering.html  is the same as used on 67-70 390/428 Mustang. The return hose is a cut to length hose to the P/S OIL COOLER ASSY  http://mansfieldmustang.com/PowerSteering.html and the other side is the GT350 unique upper pressure hose https://bluedotspecialties.com/Products/Product_PS9ZX0C12-6768-GT350-500_3518.aspx  that goes to the back of the pump .

Awesome. Thanks guys. I guess the term "junction block" that I had read may not be accurate and was throwing me for a loop.  No wonder I couldn't find anything on it.  It doesn't exist.  Lol.  Thanks again.
