Autolite DC-6 Condenser

(1/1)

kitdoctor:
I have two NOS Autolite DC-6 condensers, service part number 7BA-12300-C. One in a box with the star artwork and the other the GT40 artwork.

What's the approximate time/date range for the two different styles of box artwork? e.g. GT40 would be 1968-71.

Based upon those time/date ranges what would be some examples of specific engine application/s (with appropriate distributor) for a vehicle model that would use each condenser? e.g. '69-'70 Boss Mustang (with 302W 4V).

Sorry about photos being upside down. I've tried to fix that with no success.

RoyceP:
Looks like typical 1967 - 68 packaging.

Typical for 67 but not for 68. The star packaging was phased out in 68 . Different parts box's most likely changed at different times depending on the part. Not to nit pick but although some of the star boxes are seen still in use in early 1968 production time frame Autolite was the box that was more typical over all in that time frame IMO.

RoyceP:
The transition to GT40 marked packaging was DURING 1968. Lots of stuff was packaged in spark marked packaging DURING 1968.

Yes that is what I said . "The star packaging was phased out in 68" . I think you misunderstood me. As I wrote in my post the Star box was phased out in 68 but still in use. The Autolite box was more typical in 68 then the Star style box was my point .You said the Star box was typical in 68.
