Hello,
Is this a chrome or bullet mirror you are looking for?

Ford base number "- 17743 -" is not a valid number. Where did you find it?
Is this a chrome or bullet mirror you are looking for?
Sill a valid question.
The assembly line Ford numbers are (found in the "1969 Mustang Body Assembly Manual", AM0026, pgs 41 and 42 - GET A SET!)
C9ZB-17683-F = standard chrome (service, C9ZZ-17682-B)
C9ZB-17683-EW = racing (somewhere along the line it got painted body color) (service, C9ZZ-17682-C, before 2/24/69, C9ZZ-17682-E, after 2/24/69 - both are in primer).

It is the paint bullet mirror. I am looking at the numbers on the mounting base C9ZB-17743-C also a 60338-401. But a bullet mirror with L knob for 70 deluxe interior, an early car 9/69. Thank you

. . the numbers on the mounting base C9ZB-17743-C
That's the part number for the mounting base.
. . also a 60338-401.
That is most likely a manufacturer's part number.
But a bullet mirror with L knob for 70 deluxe interior, an early car 9/69.
Are you looking for a remote mirror for a 1969 Mustang or 1970? Look in "Ford Car Parts" (aka MPC) in section 170 for the service numbers. Copies of the MPC are in this forum's library.

It is an early 70 Dearborn Mustang. I should not have listed the numbers on the base of the mirror , my apologies .

Not needed. You at least listed an available Ford part number. Most seem to be afraid to do that.

Look in "Ford Car Parts" (aka MPC) located in this forums library, in section 170, Ford base number 17682 for the service part number. (This is an exercise to get you familiar with the Ford number system.)

Jim I know you are just trying to educate me however I am unable to find what you are referring to in the library, probably my poor ability with computers or maybe I don't have access to it. It is just a 70 bullet painted remote mirror with the L knob if anyone has one, thanks.
