'65 Rocker Moulding Clips
«
on:
June 27, 2011, 09:42:50 AM »
The clips that are riveted to the rocker panel have a hole on one end and a slot on the other. The question I have is: do the holes go up or do the slots go up? Or, does it even matter?
TIA--Gary

The slots go down. I believe this is due to the shape of the rocker panel on the car, so the rivet can attach flat.

Thanks Charles -I figured something like that would be the case. I'd hate to get them all on WRONG!

I usually hit the top rivet first, which gets the clip planted and then do the bottom. Be careful of the rivet gun jumping up and bouncing onto fresh paint!

Thanks for the tip. I was going to get them on today-but my wife had other plans. Maybe tomorrow!
