GT 350H Underside Hood Color
« on: February 28, 2014, 10:35:59 PM »
What color/shade (semi gloss, gloss, body color) should the underside be on a GT-350H (black and gold) hood?

Thanks,
Chris

Semi-gloss (fairly flat)  black with body color overspray and overspray from the stripe application in the logical locations from the stripe application (not much)

Given your cars exterior color the contrast (the exterior color overspray) will be almost invisible

Thanks Jeff,

On the over spray of the stripe location, do you mean like where the hood scoop is there would be some over spray coming in?  It is actually my dad's car.  He is having the fiberglass redone underneath  the car since it was not done correctly and the hood is cracking a little bit by the scoop area.  He kept debating whether to get the hood redone or buy a reproduction hood and just keep the original one in the garage but he knows those reproduction fiberglass hoods do not look the same.

Very little exterior color (more from sides than frotn or rear due to the frame design)  - of course yours will not show up. From the stripe a bit is often found at the scoop opening. Didn't travel really that far - like exterior color under the car. Maybe a smaller gun, less air pressure or angle of application
