I read online somewhere that it states in the Ford service manual that a '67 K code gets 15hg at best, is this correct? Can anyone tell me what they are getting on their K motors? any year. Thanks.

Remember that manifold vacuum varies as a function of altitude (higher altitude?less manifold vacuum). Did Ford qualify their data with respect to the altitude of where the measurements were taken? 15in. of mercury seems a little low, at least with respect to "sea level".

Yes that's what I thought too, 15hg is low. I always thought around 18-22hg. I don't know exactly what Ford specified in the service manual, its just something I read online on another forum. The reason I'm interested is I just rebuilt my K code and I've got a solid, steady 16hg on the gauge. The motor runs really strong, will smoke the tires all day long and idles smooth as silk. I live just outside London so Im at no altitude. So could it be the K code cam that ford say 15hg of vacuum? Or after only 420 miles maybe me rings have not bedded in yet?
