Dash Cluster Bits - Speedo Mount Insulator Material
« on: November 27, 2021, 10:36:22 PM »
I'm hoping someone here can help me locate a couple items I haven't been able to find.  Inside the instrument housing there is an open cell foam that was used held on with double sided tape and a rubber like material with adhesive backing as well.  This is for a '68 Cougar, but I assume it's the same for Mustang.  I may be having trouble because I'm not really sure what to search for, though I have found similar stuff.  Any help is certainly appreciated.

Have used the sheet foam you can buy in bulk and just spray some spray adhesive (like used on headliner installations) and in some examples had some adhesive sheet material for a heater door I recut and used

Worked for other years and applications also.

Thanks Jeff.  Could you be more specific?

Haven't purchased or needed to for a while. Will see if I can find a source since I think that is really what your looking for.  May be able to narrow it down to a couple of possibilities. Never know for sure, when buying from a distance, what your going to get until you hold it in your hand. Still busy trying to get Christmas presents taken care of  :)
