Topic: 69-70 Rear Sport roof/Mach I Non-Fold Down Rear Seat Trim

Was asked about this items a couple fo days ago so figured I should posted them on the site to help members and you lurkers in the future

Focus is on the upper rear seat trim panel highlighted by the blue arrows and the end caps highlighted by the green arrows.

I am restoring my 1969 Mach 1 back to original. The car had a fold down seat installed in the 90's. Originally was a non fold down rear seat. I have manuals but they only show assembly of a fold down back seat. Does anyone have a diagram for a non fold down 1969 mach 1 or know where I can purchase a manual with diagram and parts?

Unfortunately there is no 1969 Mustang Interior Assembly Manual, but there is a 70. The 69 and 70 designs were "similar" so the two pages that cover the non-fold down sportsroof/Mach I rear seat could be used - but you could try Ford Car Parts (aka MPC) the dealer service department's book, download for free -

It's a 430mb file with 45 folders.

Unfortunately that drawing relates to 67-68 only and Ford incorrectly indicated that the drawing is related to 67-70  

Only a couple of brackets are similar or same. 69-70 has a larger package tray that sits level with the top of the rear seat cushion and no corner fiberglass/ plastic rear side panels or trap door cover

Don't recall seeing a factory drawing or diagram showing a 69 nonm-fold down rear seat and package tray arrangement

As a start you might want to look at some of these threads and the trunk pictures in the unrestored picture section
