Mustang Six Association has restarted

I'm sure many of you may have already gotten a e-mail from Rick Mitchell, but to let you know he has restarted the Mustang Six Association and the Mustang Sprint. It is dedicated to all 6 cylinders of the first generation Mustangs. You can contact him at

Funny, I have not heard from him in awhile..

I still maintain the "1966 Sprint 200 Registry" from him since 2006.   I re-birthed the original registry from its original 1983 incarnation.

Last I heard from him was last year....and He had decided to abandon his Mustang Six Association.  Maybe he has a re-newed interest again which would be good.  Rick is a great guy.

I'll have to drop him a line..

Tony,

He did decide to restart it, I got notified by him just a few days ago, and told him I would post it on the forums I am a member of. He also is looking for a 65 or 66 I think 6 cylinder coupe in halfway decent condition in the $20,000 price range to restore.

I believe he decided to abandon the Mustang Six association last year because he did not get the membership he was expecting in the time frame he had set. From what he has mentioned in his e-mails that he is getting a good response to the "reboot" as I call it. Hopefully with a lot of attention on the Mustangs due to the 50th anniversary the association will gain a good membership base.

I dropped Rick a line and heard from him yesterday because of this.  He has located and is purchasing a '65 Coupe six banger..

Apparently he is building a website where he will post all of the old issues of his famous "Sprint Print" and other six related articles.

We'll just have to wait and see what unfolds....but it looks good so far..
