Repairing OEM fiberglass

Picked up a used OEM, never installed, '68 rear tail panel. 

Has a couple damaged areas (a few large-ish pieces broken off the ends). 

I have an OEM on my CS/GT and am wondering if there are any recommendations for repairing to get "close" to OEM.  Wondering if some mold process would be best, as I beleive it was orignally done that way and was not hand laid woven or random fiber mat ...?

The technical name is FRP or fiberglass reinforced plastic and yes, was done in a mold. Use conventional fiberglass repair technique, resin/mat and smooth to resemble mold injected

Thanks Tim...

So what might a never installed properly repaired part like this be worth?  I have a repro to put on my project (not a Shelby) and got this part in a combined, tail panel, buckets, wiring setup.  I need the buckets and wiring and figure reselling a repaired OEM that's never been installed would have some value a bit more then a new repro, but less than a pristine NOS??? 

The difference to get it in addition to the buckets and wiring was $40, I figured that was quite reasonable, even for a damaged part...

A good solid used panel will typically bring 4-600. Personally I would hold out for a good  one with little to no damage as they are not to hard to find (the CS application brings numbers way up). Now headlight buckets and lower valance are a different story. They bring big dollars even damaged severely

As noted, it was prt of the package of panel, light housings, wiring... I figured for $40 and a little of my time I can at least recover the cost plus a few bucks for my effort...  the damage is at the outer edges and looks to be not too hard to fix.
