Automotive Chrome Suggestion, based on recent experience
« on: December 14, 2023, 01:23:35 PM »
Searching for an automotive chrome shop that can prep and plate the chrome parts on a 68 Mustang.
From pot metal to steel bumpers.
Is there such a shop these days that does it all?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
I?m located in upstate NY, but traveling to the right shop is ok.
I?d prefer to drop off parts to a location in the NE if possible

Thank you
Fran

I believe I saw a shop listed in Hemmings in the north east.  No info about their work.

The one in Hemmings is likely Paul's Chrome plating in Evans City, PA: https://www.paulschrome.com/

I have had parts chromed by Paul's and by New England Chrome Plating in E. Hartford, CT: https://newenglandchrome.com/

Qual Krom in PA did a good job chroming various small items for me.  Shipped parts to them,  called me with quote,  had parts chromed and shipped back in about 6 weeks.

I can second a recommendation for Paul's, fantastic work on bumpers for my 70 convertible, and underhood parts for a Hot Rod project I'm helping an elderly friend with.

Same here, just learned yesterday that they have closed the business.

Updating.

Any recommendations for a chrome shop in general..not limiting this to just those in the north east.

Thank you.
