6 cylinder A/C hose bracket 66 mustang
« on: July 04, 2013, 09:59:27 PM »
I am installing factory original a/c in my 66 convertible 6 cylinder built in dearborn with a build date of jan 66. I am looking for the brackets for the a/c hoses that bolt to the shock tower braces. They are part numbers C6ZA-19812-B AND C4ZA-19812-B. I know they are not reproduced and I have never found any used ones. The Ford master parts manual pictures of them are not clear enough, and I was wondering if any one had some pictures of what the originals looked like so perhaps I could manufacture them.

Thanks so much for any help or pictures anyone might have.

Are these the metal or rubber tire scrap ones?

Just back from a show and will dig out some pictures

If they're the rubber type that bolt to the brace between the shock tower and cowl, then I can at least help with pictures.  Though my car doesn't have A/C, it does have the straps supporting the heater hoses to the brace.  Not sure if that's the same application as what would've retained the A/C hoses or not.
Too much junk, too little time.

Here is a picture of a very dirty engine compartment (not mine) that shows the brackets installed.
I should also have the brackets themselves that I can take pictures of.

Here are some pictures of the brackets themselves,
a little bent up and rusty but gives you the idea.

Thanks to you all so much for the replies. Thanks as well for moving the post, as I wasn't sure where it should go. I do have the original "used tire" strap for my heater hose.  With the pics I should be able to make something or at least know what to look for!
